The project involved the preparation, revision, updating and multidisciplinary coordination of the technical designs required for the comprehensive renovation of the Jataí Labor Court Headquarters.
Developed under Contract No. 40/2024 for the Regional Labor Court of the 18th Region — TRT18 — the work established a reliable technical foundation for modernizing approximately 1,430 m² of judicial facilities while improving safety, accessibility, operational efficiency and long-term building performance.
The scope included preliminary studies, schematic design, basic design and detailed construction documentation. Architecture, structural engineering, electrical and electronic systems, plumbing, mechanical installations, HVAC and fire and life-safety systems were developed as part of an integrated renovation strategy.
As the intervention concerns an existing public building, the design process required a detailed understanding of the property’s current physical conditions, technical infrastructure and operational requirements. Existing documentation was reviewed and updated to reflect the actual configuration of the facility, creating a more accurate technical record for the renovation and future property management.
Functional planning considered the needs of judges, court employees, attorneys, workers, employers and members of the public. Public-service areas, administrative environments, controlled-access spaces, internal circulation and technical support zones were assessed to improve orientation, institutional security and the quality of the user experience.
Multidisciplinary coordination was central to the project. Renovation work frequently creates complex interfaces between existing structures, architectural components, electrical networks, plumbing systems, air-conditioning equipment and fire-protection infrastructure. The coordinated design process identified these conflicts before construction, reducing uncertainty, preventing rework and improving cost and schedule predictability.
The project also included a detailed cost estimate, connecting technical solutions with the financial planning of the future construction contract. Drawings, specifications and quantities were structured to provide the public administration with a clear basis for procurement, inspection and budget control.
An updated cadastral survey documented the building’s existing areas, systems and physical conditions. This information supports not only the immediate renovation but also the long-term management and maintenance of the public asset.
Environmental responsibility was incorporated through a Construction Waste Management Plan — PGRS — addressing the segregation, reuse, recycling, transportation and appropriate disposal of materials generated during the intervention.
Sustainability and operational efficiency were considered through strategies related to natural lighting and ventilation, energy-efficient LED systems, occupancy sensors, lighting automation, reduced water consumption, rainwater harvesting, water reuse, solar-energy potential and materials with lower environmental impact.
Through integrated architecture, engineering, cost planning and environmental management, the project prepares the Jataí Labor Court to operate with greater safety, efficiency, accessibility and environmental responsibility while strengthening an essential component of regional judicial infrastructure.
